Maryland Meadowbeauty (Rhexia mariana)
Maryland Meadowbeauty is a 1' to 3' tall native perennial that grows best in highly organic soils and is usually found in ditches, wet meadows, swamp edges, and other moist to wet sites. This plant flowers in the spring and summer. The bright pink 1" to 2" wide flowers have four petals and a distinctive cluster of long drooping orange anthers. This is an attractive plant for moist garden sites; however, the seed is so small care must be taken not to get them too deep or they will not sprout. Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight.
