Narrow-Leaved Sunflower (Helianthus angustifolius)
Narrow-Leaved Sunflower is a 3' to 6' tall native perennial that produces profuse numbers of large 3" wide showy yellow flowers with reddish brown centers. This sunflower likes lots of moisture and grows in swamps, wet pinelands, moist disturbed sites, wet meadows, and roadside ditches. It prefers full sun sites but tolerates some shade. This is an easily established plant well suited for open damp sites in the garden, in ditches, and in landscaping, but may require some support. It is often included in wetland restoration and conservation seed mixes. Birds relish the seed and it is a great pollinator conservation species. Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
