Sheep Fescue (Festuca ovina)
Sheep Fescue is a 6" to 12" tall, densely tufted, cool season, dwarf bunchgrass. It is a late spring/early summer naturalized perennial that grows in full sun or part shade and prefers dry to medium soil moisture sites. The primary use of Sheep Fescue is erosion control and stabilization of bare soil.
