Tall Fescue - Endophyte Free (Festuca arundinacea)
Festuca arundinacea, with the common name tall fescue, is a long lived, deep rooted, spreading bunch grass flowering in late spring/early summer. It is a native/naturalized perennial growing in full sun or part shade and in dry to medium soil moisture sites. The endopyte free fescue was developed to remove the endopyte from tradtional tall fescue which causes poorer preformace in forage applications especially to birth rates.
