Nimblewill is a 1' to 2' tall native perennial grass. When young, the slender flowering culm is erect but tends to sprawl as the plant gains height and matures. This grass can be easily established by seed and it reproduces by forming rootlets along the lower nodes of the culms as they sprawl along the ground. Nimblewill grows best in medium to moist loamy soils and has a distinct preference for partial shade. The plant is usually found in low woodlands, thickets, woodland edges, open wooded stream banks, partially shaded areas of lawns, and shaded disturbed areas in cities. The grass is palatable to most herbivores and birds and small mammals are attracted to the seed.
Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
