Yellow Wingstem (Verbesina alternifolia)
Yellow Wingstem is a 4' to 8' tall native perennial found typically in low open woods, moist woodland margins, meadows, thickets and in alluvial soils near streams. Yellow Wingstem requires medium to wet soils and prefers partial shade, but will grow well in full sun with moist rich soils. This plant features showy yellow daisy-like flowers with up to 8 somewhat reflexed rays. Best used in native plant gardens, wildflower meadows, and wildlife habitat plantings. Birds readily eat the seed and it is a nectar plant for numerous insects. Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
